Local History

Record oral histories from pioneer individuals/families, especially the events leading up to, during and after the Grape Strike (1965-70). Archive documents, photos, materials from earlier generations.

Historical Designation

Created a plaque acknowledging the Filipino Community Hall’s role in the Delano Grape Strike. Raising funds for the permanent placement outside the famed building. In addition, applying to National Park Service for National Historical Landmark designation for the Hall.

Education

Establish programs in the community and schools year-round, especially for Filipino American History Month (October) and Larry Itliong Day (Oct. 25).
