DESCRIPTION:Delano\, Ca – The Delano Chapter of the Filipino American National Historical Society (FANHS)\, City of Delano\, and the Larry Itliong Unity Park Host Committee will host a grand opening event of the new\, $12 Million\, seven-acre\, park project for the Larry Itliong Unity Park and City Aquatic Center near 200 W. 11th Avenue in Delano\, CA on Saturday\, May 11th at 10am. There will be entertainment\, food and history at the event. The City Council acknowledges the significance of the Farm Labor Movement with the hope of becoming an inspirational landmark for future generations. The City has embraced this history with the commissioning of the centennial mural on Main Street and the designation of the Larry Itliong Unity Park in west Delano.
